Los Menucos, Rio Negro, Argentina
The La Esperanza Project, with an area of 44,000 hectares, is located in the “Los Menucos” District; 70 km north of the homonymous town.
The project was explored by Minera Mincorp, in the 90's; then by Deprominsa, around 2002; and since 2017 it is 100% owned by Valcheta Exploraciones. Between 2019 and 2022 was explored by Golden Arrow Resources under agreement with “Valcheta Exploraciones”.
So far, a system of more than 17 linear km of veins has been recognized; which is composed of a large number of veins between 50 and 2,500m in length, with average thicknesses of approximately 1m and up to a maximum of 7m.
Currently the project has 2 large sectors: "East Area" and "West Area", the latter being the one that has the exploration work carried out by Golden Arrow Resources. The "East Area" only has a reconnaissance of some sectors, where several quartz veins were found.
The veins are multipulse; massive crystalline quartz, gray chalcedonic silica with and without fine sulfides, jasperoid silica. Replacement textures of carbonates, coloform and crustiform bands with fine-grainedx sulfides. VISIBLE GOLD could be observed.
The veins are located in granodiorites of the Permian age; associated with levees, rhyolitic flows and domes (southwest of the property).
Some good anomalous values in Au were obtained in many targets. Another sectors also appeared, with veins containing Ag and base metals.
There are a large number of veins identified in the NE Block, within the "West Area" of the Project; which can be seen in the following image. Also in the second image you can see the main trenches made by the cnia. Golden Arrow.
The following images are "Ag Thematic Maps with the best Au values", of some of the main targets of the NE Block within the "West Area" of the Project.
